Merse Wellness Spa is a premium wellness and recovery brand born from the same vision as Fitness Cartel Health Clubs. Founded with a goal of redefining modern wellness across Australia, Merse locations offer bathhouse experiences — contrast therapy, infrared saunas, cold plunge pools, massage therapy, and body sculpting — all in a beautifully designed, serene environment.
Rewired Electrical was engaged to deliver the specialist commercial electrical fitout for the Merse Wellness Spa facility, supporting every therapeutic zone with the precision and care this kind of environment demands.
The Facility
Merse Wellness Spa is a full-service wellness and recovery destination featuring:
- Contrast Therapy Bathhouse – Traditional hot rock saunas, warm magnesium spas, cold plunge pools, and monsoon showers
- Infrared Sauna Suites – Individual infrared sauna installations for detox, recovery, and relaxation
- Massage Therapy Rooms – Treatment rooms requiring specialist lighting, power, and ambience systems
- Body Sculpting Suites – Advanced treatment technology with dedicated power infrastructure
- Reception & Amenities – Full front-of-house electrical, data, and access control systems
The Challenge
1. Wellness-Specific Electrical Requirements
Unlike a traditional gym, Merse required electrical systems suited to recovery environments:
- Dedicated circuits for infrared sauna systems
- Electrical provisions for ice bath and cold immersion equipment
